Today, 1 February 2017, the Coalition of African Lesbians celebrates the power of our activism as African feminists and women human rights defenders with the publication of eight (8) case studies from organisations in Southern Africa who are working to advance a range of rights related to access.
About 160 activists came together between September and November 2016 to reflect and analyse some of their best work and organising on access. These case studies are a product of that process of thinking and questioning.
Please CELEBRATE with us the work of:
- Center for the Development of People (CEDEP)
- Community of Women Living with HIV [CW Lesotho]
- Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe (GALZ)
- HealthPlus 4 Men (HP4M)
- Transbantu Association Zambia (TBZ)
- Coalition of African Lesbians (CAL)
CAL thanks the Global Fund and Hivos for the funding to create this publication.
We would also like to thank SIDA, filia and LSVD for their solidarity, friendship and support over the years to make this work possible.
An online conversation will be hosted by CAL to encourage discussion and debate about “What works when organising on access”
We want to hear from YOU!!
